Summary: A look at the process of the sum and difference of tangent.  Spend time addressing two main issues of sum and difference: the overall 'ugly' appearance and what to do when there's a square root in the denominator. Homework. Check out extra problems!

Summary:  After the Graphing Test, there was a classroom review over answers and general difficulties of the test.  A new unit begins on Solving Trigonometry Equations which draws extensively on your factoring skills.  No homework!

Summary: Day 2 involving left and rights shifts, especially when other graphing characteristics are incorporated.

Friday, November 4

Summary: Introduces the idea of left and right shifts when Frequency doesn't equal one, and simultaneously applies amplitude, flip, center line, frequency, and horizontal shift.

Thursday, November 3

Summary:  Fleshing out the concept of shifting horizontally and how that looks in sine vs. cosine, as well as simultaneously combining frequency, period, amplitude, and center line.

Wednesday, November 2

Summary:  Now that all of the characteristics of graphing have been installed, a further analysis of frequency and what happens when it changes.  Also introduces the idea of a horizontal shift.  Main Issue: Sine and Cosine need angles to operate, but many things that repeat themselves have nothing to do with angles.

Summary: Now that amplitude, frequency, period, and flipping have become comfortable to students, a quick introduction to the change of center line when graphing.
