Summary: Went over yesterday's quiz and looked at the characteristics of linear, quadratic, absolute value, and square root functions, taking special consideration with the graphs of square root functions.  Homework.  Answers for Chapter 9 are on the blog.

Summary: Day 2 involving left and rights shifts, especially when other graphing characteristics are incorporated.

Thursday, November 3

Summary:  Fleshing out the concept of shifting horizontally and how that looks in sine vs. cosine, as well as simultaneously combining frequency, period, amplitude, and center line.

Wednesday, November 2

Summary:  Now that all of the characteristics of graphing have been installed, a further analysis of frequency and what happens when it changes.  Also introduces the idea of a horizontal shift.  Main Issue: Sine and Cosine need angles to operate, but many things that repeat themselves have nothing to do with angles.

Tuesday, November 1

Summary: Now that amplitude, frequency, period, and flipping have become comfortable to students, a quick introduction to the change of center line when graphing.  

Monday, October 31

Summary: Finish installing frequency, period, amplitude, and flipping a graph.  

Friday, October 28

Summary: Continuing graphing unit and explaining information concerning change in amplitude, frequency, and period.  Also introduces the idea of 'flipping' a graph.  

Thursday, October 27

Summary:Introduction into graphing sine, cosine, and tangent. Emphasis on the relation of a graph to its unit circle.
