For students considering Math 111, you'll need to qualify via the Compass Test.  You MUST have solid basic algebra skills to succeed in this test.  The test questions build on themselves based on your comprehension of the subject matter.  Basically: If you don't understand the easy stuff (Algebra 1, Geometry), they're not even going to let you try to do the hard stuff (Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus).
